Erasmusbrug, an iconic suspension bridge in Rotterdam, Netherlands, stands as a symbol of modern engineering and architectural brilliance. Spanning the River Maas, the bridge, affectionately known as the "Swan," due to its graceful, curved pylon resembling a swan's neck, was completed in 1996. Designed by Ben van Berkel, the bridge's sleek, asymmetrical shape stretches over 800 meters, connecting the northern and southern parts of Rotterdam. Its stunning nighttime illumination with 40 cables and 680 LED lights creates a captivating spectacle, adding to the city's vibrant skyline. Serving as both a practical transportation link and a prominent tourist attraction, Erasmusbrug embodies Rotterdam's innovative spirit and remains an integral part of the city's identity.
