The Milton Keynes Light Pyramid, inaugurated in 2012 as a pivotal element of the Campbell Park Art Plan, was conceived to succeed the former basket beacon lost to lightning in 2002. This striking structure, crafted from steel and adorned in a pristine white hue, made its debut illumination during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on June 4th, 2012. Positioned atop the belvedere, it affords breathtaking vistas of North East Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire. Beyond its architectural prowess, the Light Pyramid continues to symbolise and mark significant local and national events, illuminating the skyline with its symbolic resonance.
